Of course the better component is needed for both CPU and GPU, plus your RAM size. HD 7870 and also R9 270 is needed for this case.
HD 7870 when we checked on Tech power up is available with Ghz edition, still with 2 GB Vram and 256 bit bus width, as known as an older video card. The performance is just like GTX 950 which was good even for 1080p in its time.
